Mayweather: ‘Pacquiao at his age, which is sad, has to fight’

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a former five-division champion. He is quite famous not only because he is a boxing champion but also because of his beliefs and controversial statements.

Mayweather recently had an exhibition fight versus a YouTuber named Logan Paul. Of course, the 44-year-old boxing champion did not miss any opportunity to share his life’s struggles.

“The early sacrifices I made from 1996 to 2006, for ten years, (I) beat the best fighters and did not make 8-figures at all.”

“When I became my own boss, I got my first cheque, 8-figures, and earned what I wanted to earn.”

He did not hesitate to give some insights about his once foe, 42-year-old Manny Pacquiao.

“It’s not bashing when I talk about any fighter like this.”

“Not ’cause I have to do it.”

“When I come to the exhibition, it’s because I do it to have some fun.”

“Whereas, Pacquiao at his age, which is sad, has to fight.”

He also said that there might be a lot of stories going around, but the truth is, he is stable.

“I have made many smart investments; I own so much properties, I’m well off. Everything I own is paid for.”

“I did not do it by myself. I want to thank my team.”

Mayweather Jr. and Pacquiao once squared off back in 2015. A match that was top-billed as the “Fight of the Century.” Mayweather Jr. won via the unanimous decision.
