Meghan & Prince Harry’s newest member of the Royal Family, Baby Lilibet “Lili” Diana

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomes their bundle of joy and the newest member of the royal family, baby Lilibet ‘Lili’ Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.

Britain’s Duchess of Sussex recently gave birth to a baby girl, to whom she and husband Duke of Sussex named after Queen Elizabeth and of his late mother, Princess Diana.

The little Lilibet ‘Lili’ Diana Mountbatten-Windsor came to the world at the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California on Friday, June 04, 2021. Prince Harry was present. Archie Harrison, the couple’s firstborn, came into the world in 2019.

Why did they choose the name Lilibet?

Despite the difficult circumstances the couple faced throughout the year, they paid tribute to the Queen, which “Lilibet” is the family nickname.

How did the royal family receive the news?

Buckingham Palace releases the statement that the Queen, Prince Charles, Prince William, and Kate were delighted to hear the announcement.

“We are all delighted by the happy news of the arrival of baby Lili. Congratulations to Harry, Meghan and Archie.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex release a statement on their baby’s birth.

“On June 04, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili. She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we’ve felt from across the globe,” they said.
