Soon to Enlist
As part of their mandatory military service, there are no exemptions for idols from performing their country’s duties.
Before his solo comeback, Baekhyun was on his Instagram live. He then shared to the fans that the final date of his military enlistment has been decided.
On April 02, 2021, SM Entertainment and Baekhyun officially made confirmation of serving his military duties on May 06, 2021. It is also coincidentally, Baekhyun’s 29th birthday.
Health Issues
Earlier in the week, Baekhyun and SM Entertainment affirmed he is bound for military enlistment. However, because of his health issues, change needs to be made.
From the Military Manpower Administration, physical examinations are a prerequisite before designating the nature of service they oblige to accomplish. Grades 1 up to 3 are the qualifications for active service. Baekhyun, on the other hand, received a Grade 4, and it is because of his long-term health issue, hypothyroidism.
EXO’s Baekhyun will enlist and fulfill his duties as a public service worker soon.
