tvN’s much-awaited drama “Cliffhanger” lead by Joo Ji Hoon and Jun Ji Hyun, premieres on October

“Cliffhanger,” the latest drama that will be lead by South Korea’s best Joo Ji Hoon and Jun Ji Hyun, premieres soon in October.

Many media outlets release their reports last June 18th that tvN’s eagerly-awaited drama wrapped up its shooting on June 17th. Finalizing the will be on June 28th. As soon as every preparation is accomplished, the show will premiere on October 23rd of 2021.

What can you anticipate from the “Cliffhanger” drama series?

The storyline of “Cliffhanger” is connected to the second-tallest mountain in South Korea, Mount Jiri or Jirisan

You’ll meet the rangers and staff working for the Jirisan National Park, where they climb and found themselves in the mountain’s mysterious and obscure regions.

Here, you’ll catch the different stories of people of lost trekkers and rescued individuals by the rangers. You’ll also get to meet menacing characters who kill and those who have fallen to despair.

Who are the main casts?

Jun Ji-Hyun will play Seo Yi-Kang, who has the innate instincts to navigate the mountain’s trails undoubtedly. 

Ju Ji-Hoon will play Kang Hyun-Jo. A military captain who experienced a horrific event on the mountain inspired him to apply and become a ranger. He keeps a dark secret.

Oh Jung-Se is JungGoo-Young and is a ranger who is exceptionally realistic. 

Sung Dong-il is Jo Dae-Jin. He is the Jirisan National Park’s head. A veteran ranger, honest with a strong sense of duty and responsibility.

The drama writers collaborate between director Lee Eung Bok (Mr. Sunshine and Sweet Home) and writer Kim Eun Hee (Signal and Kingdom).

The drama TV series is set to show 16 episodes and is the first drama series filmed at the Jirisan National Park.
